The Cisco MGX 8200 series edge concentrator currently consists of the MGX8230 and the MGX8250; both platforms act as a stand-alone gateway or as an edge concentrator for the Cisco BPX 8600 and Cisco MGX 8850 multiservice switches and offer a full range of narrowband service interfaces and a switching capacity up to 1.2 Gbps.
