The Cisco ONS 15400 intelligent optical network is designed with availability, scalability, and flexibility in mind, helping to ensure a lasting infrastructure and to protect investments by accommodating emerging technologies and mission-critical applications.

The Cisco ONS 15400 series offers dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) solutions for applications that require the transmission of high-bandwidth and/or high-density services over metro. ONS 15400 series products allow storage over SONET/SDH solutions for applications that require managed optical services or transmission over regional distances. Part of the Cisco Complete Optical Multiservice Edge and Transport product line, the Cisco ONS 15454 combines the capacity of advanced optical transport with the intelligence of IP to deliver voice and data services.
